Book of the Week: The Science of Being Great

The Science of Being Great by Wallace D. Wattles was written over a century ago but still it makes an impact on my life. Wattles explains how the only thing that can be wrong is your personal attitude. I live by this. Nothing else can be wrong but your own attitude. What a simple and powerful statement that is.

Wattles also writes that it is hard to think which is why many people choose to spend their leisure time immersed in activities that do not require much active thinking. I do my best to steer clear of such activities. I spend the majority of my time at my desk working and thinking. I do set aside some time to watch some soccer matches (1-3 per week).

He instructs to be great in all the relationships and activities in your life and to start immediately. Don’t wait for a such and such to change. Live with greatness today. Treat others great. Let go of the past and live great today.
